Mira Laprell-Elliott is a Certified BodyTalk Practitioner and a member of the International BodyTalk Association. She has been practicing BodyTalk for the last two years, and has also taken the Breakthrough and Mindscape Courses using these tools to help within her sessions.

BodyTalk is a non invasive therapy that works easily and effectively with both Western and Eastern medicine. This treatment is for everyone young and old. Having had success with BodyTalk therapy herself, it has given Mira a true passion to share the healing process with others.

BodyTalk is not to diagnose an illness or ailment. It is a way for us to mediate and facilitate our body and mind to work better together when something is not working quite right. If your body is ready, it will heal itself with gentle reminders and tapping stimulation. We are technically, the interpreters.

It is amazing how our emotions can influence our health. For example, when you are worried and nervous, we sometimes develop an upset stomach. When we are grieving, we struggle with breathing and our lungs. Sometimes we need to take a closer look at our emotions and explore why they are sitting in our systems and making us feel ill. Each cell in our body- is connected and affects the other cells, systems, organs, endocrines, etc. Our body is like an orchestra. If one instrument is not working – we can hear it. This is how Mira describes this safe and natural holistic therapy.

Mira continues to grow in this field and is consistently upgrading her skill set.

She is delighted to join the Salus Wellness Center and looks forward to meeting and working with you to achieve your optimal health goals, both mentally and physically.

Alison Chudleigh is a Registered Massage Therapist, Reiki Master and Instructor.  She graduated from Mount Royal College in Calgary In 1996.  Her program entailed massage techniques ranging from Trigger Point Therapy, Sport Massage  to Deep Tissue  and Myofascial Release  techniques, all of which she utilized in her years working with Chiropractors and Physiotherapists in the Cochrane and Calgary area.  She has been a member in good standing with the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada since she began her career in 1997.

Alison is a perpetual student of the Healing Arts with a focus on her studies in the Energy Healing field.  She studied the Japanese tradition of Reiki for several years and was deemed a Reiki Master in 2007.  It is then that she took on the role of becoming an Instructor in the Healing Arts (Reiki).  Her career as an Energy/Body Worker forayed her into further education in the field of Kinesiology, more specifically Specialized Health Kinesiology’s.  Currently in the midst of completing her qualifications as a Touch for Health Practitioner, she anxiously awaits the opportunity to share the benefits of this modality with her clients.  Specialized Health Kinesiology and Touch for Health, though very similar in nature, are two different therapies using Muscle Testing to discern imbalances in the body.  They offer non invasive corrective measures to recreate the balance of not only the body but, the whole Being.

Her extensive travels to Southeast Asia, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, as well as many other countries, ignited in Alison an intrigue in the aboriginal cultural beliefs and healing methods of the people of these regions.  She studies these traditions and spiritual philosophies in Shamanic perspective from cultures spanning the globe, with special interest in the Indigenous Peoples native to Canada.  Having spent a year working in the Canadian Arctic, she learned much from the Inuit people ranging from Tuktiuktuk to Baffin Island and Cambridge Bay.  Alison implements much from these Shamanic traditions into her methods of therapy, drawing from each a unique and diverse approach to address all the varying needs of her clients on an individual basis.

Alison believes that each person is uniquely different and therefore has different needs and different responses to therapies.  Her skill sets and experience levels lend her a vast perspective on what might be needed for each person and their afflictions to heal fully, rapidly and completely.  It is her deep desire her clients be returned to living a healthy, balanced, joyful life, free from any limitations.
